About Us
What We Do
Plangineering combines professional planning and engineering strategies to improve community vitality. Because every community is significantly shaped by transportation investment, we specialize in transportation plans and studies, emphasizing a holistic approach to planning for cars, trucks, transit, bicycles, and pedestrians.
To be successful, we believe transportation plans must reflect the community's collective values and desires. However, in order for good decision-making to occur, information on constraints, impacts and trade-offs must be clearly communicated and easy to understand. Our consent-building approach fosters informed stakeholders as complex issues are weighed, helping to generate the forward momentum needed to implement important transportation projects.

Key Staff
Our Principal, Carole Richardson, PE, has 30 years of experience planning, designing and implementing projects that improve community livability. In addition to private consulting, Carole has prior public-sector employment with two state departments of transportation, two cities and a metropolitan planning organization.
Carole has in-depth experience with metropolitan planning organization formation, Title VI requirements for federal-aid recipients, public involvement techniques for transportation decision-making, and community consent-building.
